Our Alumni Spotlight of the Month features Emy Shayo, SIPA'98.
Bio: Emy Shayo has been the J.P. Morgan Latin America Equity Strategist since 2017 and the Brazil Equity Strategist since 2008. Prior to that, Emy was a Senior LatAm Economist at Bear Stearns for eight years, based both in New York and in Sao Paulo. She has been ranked as a top analyst in the Institutional Investor Latin America survey every year since 2002, taking the first place for both Brazil and Latin America in 2020. Emy works focuses on the interaction between equity markets, macro policy developments, and quantitative analysis, linking local expertise with J.P. Morgan’s global footprint on research. Emy has a Master of International Affairs from the School of International Affairs at Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science from Fordham University.
